The eternal optimist Doris had a cheerful life in Germany with her family, until her city, Berlin, was divided by The Wall. Her parents decided to flee to the West side, reuniting with her mom’s brother. Due to an explosion the escape tunnel collapsed and buried Doris’s parents. The little girl managed to reach his uncle in time and emigrated with him to the new world. She integrated quickly, raised a family, but the shadows of the past still haunt her.
